Went for a drive - well hungover from the Anzac day celebrations. Did plan on going to the Croc Park - but you know how it is - things can change at a moments notice! As we passed Crocodilus Park I did mention to Mark that I thought that was where we were going. He said he knew a better Croc Farm to visit - but we didnt get there! We did end up at the wildlife park and had a great day.

Walking around the Woodlands Park we decided there was nothing to see. Just as we were about to leave the area we heard a thumping noise and 2 wallabies appeared from nowhere! We hesitated and then decided they might be waiting for us to move from the pond so they could have a drink. The expressions and the tilt of their head gave us an idea that they wanted us to get out of their way. We moved to the left and as soon as we did, they moved to the waters edge. As you can see, we got some great photos of them. I think we were more intigued by them than they were by us!

Mark was equally impressed by how close he got to a 4 metre croc. It followed him around and didnt take its eyes off him! Without the glass between them it would have been a scary prospect. It was a saltie (the worst type) and not a freshie!
He also shouted out a warning for me to look out overhead as we left the aquarium. I looked straight up and saw the biggest spider I have ever seen in my life! The web was just above head height and it gave me a bad vibe for the rest of the walk! We did try to get a photo of the spider, but the camera zoomed in on the foliage and not the huge arachnid! It was a great day out - better done without the hangover we had from Anzac Day - Im sure. Highly recommended by everyone in the NT that has been there. Every day is different and what you see of the wildlife is totally down to mother nature!
